One of the top defense attorneys in southwest Missouri, Dee Wampler, Springfield, has signed on as lawyer for former Webb City High School Principal Mark Porter, who is charged with two counts of murder in the first degree in connection with the April 30 slayings of Gary and Jan Tyrrell.
Porter entered a not gulity plea during his arraignment Monday and is being held in the Greene County Jail without bond.
A motions hearing, which will include a motion to set bond, has been scheduled for September 5.
