To make sure the Guinness Book of World Records contending six-and-a-half-mile ribbon is stretched around the complete JHS/Franklin Technical Center campus, a graveyard shift is being added on a one-time basis.
Reportedly, high school students will be given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to participate in history by placing the ribbon around the buildings, beginning at 2 a.m. Friday morning.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and include speeches by Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.

He is so bad at figuring out how much time it takes to complete things.
Where is the money coming from to pay for this. How long are the people of joplin going to allow this.

This is not true. The kids will not be there past 10PM. And the kids volunteered! They WANT to help. Please check your facts.

Don't know if you've checked the weather, but it's supposed to storm tomorrow evening. Severe storms. How about you put your kids out there and I'll keep mine at home. And no, they don't WANT to help. They HAVE to help because they are pushed into it like everything else.
The kids were told 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. All participating clubs were told that. And that CJ would be there. Send him up the ladder in the storm with his beloved ribbon. The kids I know are staying home. If CJ needs help, I'm sure Sharp, Steele, Landis, McGrew, and Banwart will be more than happy to help out. They let him get away with this.
