Agenda posted for Joplin City Council special meeting tonight

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Joplin, Missouri will hold a special meeting beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014, in the 5th Floor Informal Conference Room, 602 S. Main for the Purpose of interviewing Public Defender applicants.

AGENDA

 1.      Council will hear an informal presentation on increasing court fines from Judge Brown at the end of dinner prior to the closed session

2.      Call to order

3.      Reading of the Special Call

4.      Roll Call

5.      Vote to go into closed session, which shall pertain to the hiring, firing, disciplining, or promotion of an employee or particular employees of a governmental body involving personal information as set forth in Section 610.021(3) (13) RSMo, as amended, 2013, more specifically to interview Public Defender applicants. This meeting, record, and vote to be closed to the extent provided by law. The City Council shall adjourn at the end of the session.
