FBI executes child porn search warrant at Carl Junction home

Agents with the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force searched for evidence of child pornography in a frame house on Joplin Street in Carl Junction Tuesday.

The search warrant application, filed in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, According to an affidavit filed by task force officer Charles Root, a detective with the Joplin Police Department, another task force officer, working undercover on August 24 traced videos containing children having sex with adults and children having sex with other children.

The officer served a subpoena on AT&T and determined that the IP address on the computer sharing the child pornography belonged to a man who lived at the house on Joplin Street.

A number of computers, hard drives, and disks were confiscated, according to court records.

Court records do not indicate that any arrest has been made at this point.
