Do you think there is any possibility C. J. Huff tried to persuade Seventh District Congressman Billy Long to push more funding to Bright Futures (USA or Joplin)?
In a tweet Thursday, Long indicated he had met with the Joplin R-8 superintendent the previous day:
Enjoyed yesterday's meeting w/Joplin Schools Superintendent C. J. Huff. Talked about his Bright Futures Initiative.
Bright Futures is a scam...slush fund for school officials to bypass school board.
ReplyDeleteMaybe C.J. should spend more time on Joplin R-8 and less on his personal pet project, Bright Futures. Or, better yet, maybe he should resign from R-8 and concentrate full time on Bright Futures.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that one hears repeatedly that Bright Futures is NOT a district entity but yet Long refers to it as Huff's program.
ReplyDeleteBright Futures Joplin is a District initiative.
ReplyDeleteBrosins?
ReplyDeleteTwo peas in a pod!
ReplyDeleteBright Futures Joplin and Bright Futures USA are both housed in Central Office, receiving free rent and utilities and being staffed with district personnel such as Kim Vann when she was here and whoever replaced her. It's difficult to say it isn't part of the district under those circumstances. We can only wish it wasn't.
ReplyDeleteMaybe CJ is hoping Cousin Billy will make this a national initiative and give him the job of running it in case things don't work out too hot around here. After all, his efforts in this area have all been purely...
