Didn't we already dedicate Franklin Technology Center?

For those who thought the dedication ceremony for the new Joplin High School October 3 was also for Franklin Technology Center, think again.

When you have a full-time events coordinator, you have to keep scheduling events.

A dedication ceremony for Franklin Technology Center will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, February 26, with a reception to follow.

No ribbon-cutting is mentioned, but reportedly the district may have left-over ribbon from the October 3 ceremony.

A Student Showcase and Career Fair will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19.

Does this mean the utilities for the HVAC program will be working? It's hard to learn how to work on electrical / gas
Appliances when the models in the classroom are not even hooked up.
These classes cost money! Where are those fees going if not into the program itself....

Oh boy. More speeches. More ribbon. More tears. Another made-for-cj moment. And just in time to divert attention from the audit. How convenient. We know which story the Globe will put on the front page.

Someone needs to tell Cj that the magic is gone and we've grown apart and it's time for him to go.

They better be darn careful cutting that ribbon. It might be all that's holding that mess together. That and some duct tape.

Let's be clear...the FTC team decided they wanted to have their own dedication and are putting this on themselves. It is not being run by District Administration.

Absolutey! FTC is a totally separate entity...,not subject to district control.

      That much is very clear.
