Bajjali told Houston television station KHOU he has not seen the City of Joplin's lawsuit, which alleges fraud and says Wallace-Bajjali did not help "grow or rebuild Joplin in any way."
From the KHOU report:
Bajjali insisted most of the money paid by the city was used to reimburse expenses related to millions of dollars in grants and tax credits Wallace Bajjali helped secure for Joplin. The city values those grants and tax credits at just under $24 million; Bajjali puts the total at $50 million.
He also denied his company was to blame for the lack of progress on proposed redevelopment projects.
Bajjali denied the city's allegations of fraud, gross negligence and willful misconduct, but refused to comment when the I-Team pressed him further.
In a statement today, Bajjali said he has not seen Joplin's lawsuit, but added, "I do fully intend to defend myself in response to any unfounded allegations asserted by any party."
Defend himself? What crawl to bankruptcy like a big whoose! I hope they both go to Huntsville prison (not Federal) for being nothing but slick oil salesmen cheating others of their money. He probably didn't even mention the cheated investors. What does he care? He has lived big all this time on their money. What have they accomplished? What? What did they do that was so great? NOTHING!!!!!!!! The investors didn't even get ONE CENT. Yet millions were are missing. The grand plan has always been to be protected in bankruptcy court. This should not surprise anyone. They have conned so many and destroyed peoples lives, and now comes the biggest con of them all, and its going to land on Judge Bohm's lap. He's a good and very tough judge. Lets see how he handles Wallace in his court. He's already dealt with him before in another bankruptcy, Perry lawsuit comes to mind.

ReplyDeleteUnrelated in what way?
Did Wallace Bajjali hit the road to find some new sugar daddies in Joplin?
ReplyDeleteThe Rise and Fall of Wallace Bajjali - Part 2: Joplin’s Not Sugar Land
I just can't understand how Mark Rohr and the fabulous CART team got us into this terrible mess. The elite folks in Joplin may have money, but they don't have common sense!
ReplyDeleteThe lawsuits are pouring in. They wont know what to do next. They arrived in Joplin like TWO HUNGRY LEACHES on a Fat Pig... and slithered away in the darkness like the TWO VENEMOUS SNAKES they became!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Thatcher guy is helping them hide assets in Europe. The money went somewhere. It didn't just disappear.
ReplyDeleteTake Wallace and Bajjali out in the desert and leave them lost and stranded like his buddy Thatcher.
ReplyDeleteThen send All their butt buddies from Joplin and most of the R-8 Board and Huff to look for them. If they get lost and stranded too, then it can be all for the children.
Anson can man the mobile command post, and give the only working phone on the other end to Trust Fund Annie.
Right on!
ReplyDeleteLooks like at the hearing on March 24th for the estate, the only one who showed up in court was Costa Bajjali. David Wallace is still the disappearing man. He better start cooperating, this is serious, he's messing with the Feds. This is not his decision...... Next hearing is on April 13 to give Bajjali time to respond to Motion for Summary Judgement.
ReplyDeleteAccording to KHOU's report last week, where they catch up with Bajjali, Bajjali told reporter that the 1.5 million from Joplin was used to "reimburse" themselves. OK, if that's the case, where did the money come from in the first place? The Houston Investors investment properties. No wonder the poor investors weren't seeing any money. Those two crooks were using the profits for travel expenses, high salaries, other costs regarding their other investments that had NOTHING to do with the Houston investors investment. That is fraud. Its commingling, and a scam. They knew exactly what they were doing. But they knew that bankruptcy would give them a break so they didn't care.
ReplyDelete11:16 am, YES its related, its the SEC lawsuit with Receiver, because he was in court crying to judge that he needs more time (yes more time to file bankruptcy because we all know what is coming). Wallace didn't even bother to show up. He thinks "I filed bankruptcy, so now I'm protected, screw that receiver, he aint getting a penny outa me!" Remember these two are seasoned scammers. They know how to maneuver the system.
