Anne Sharp to Board: I want back on; here's some candy

Anne Sharp came to the board meeting tonight with everything she needed to make her case to return to the Board of Education, despite a voting public that had clearly had enough of her.

Sharp was dressed in business pink, carried a binder full of notes to help her with her presentation, and even more importantly, she brought bags of candy for those who would decide if she would be able to return to a position she has held for the past 15 years.

The rest of her time was spent trying to sell the message that everything is good in the school district, only the district despite its public relations machinery and cooperation from the local media, has not a done a good enough job of promoting itself.

Sharp said that the district's scores are just fine and that she could help witn putting out "a positive message" to the community and businesses. "I can facilitate communication with the community.

"The district needs to move forward and be more positive," Sharp said.

Sharp remained defiant about her positions, saying, "Even though I lost the election, I won't back down. I am loyal to the Joplin School District."

She ended her time by reading a poem.

    Was the poem Humpty Dumpty?

I personally witnessed this and it was nothing but appalling! Kudos to ALL board members for not even bringing up her vile name in deliberation. I must say that I am rather disappointed, that at least one member did not immediately admonish her action as unethical and blatant impropriety! How in the seven hells did she not realize how corrupt and downright sleazy, her actions were? Take your candy back to Wally World and don't waste our time or YOUR money ever again.

She also referred to "we" and "our website." Almost like the election never happened. You could have also had a drinking game with her phrase "we need to move forward." BTW, the poem was not Humpty Dumpty (don't remember if she named it) and the candy and trail mix were unopened at meeting's end.

Anne is clueless, but she isn't evil. She's dumb. She loves the schools and she loves the kids, and her brain is empty. That's it.

Her life is basically a Daryl Hall and John Oates album.
