WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED... LIMITED TORNADO RISK. ELEVATED HAIL RISK. ELEVATED THUNDERSTORM WIND DAMAGE RISK. ELEVATED FLOODING RISK. SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING RISK. DISCUSSION... THUNDERSTORMS CURRENTLY LOCATED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS ARE EXPECTED TO FORM INTO A LINE AND MOVE TOWARD THE REGION LATE THIS EVENING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE MAIN CONCERN WITH THESE STORMS WILL BE SEVERE WIND GUSTS...THOUGH A BRIEF TORNADO AND A FEW INSTANCES OF LARGE HAIL WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE. THE PRIMARY SEVERE WEATHER RISK AREA TONIGHT IS EXPECTED TO BE ALONG AND WEST OF U.S. 65. THERE WILL ALSO BE A LIMITED TO LOCALLY ELEVATED THREAT FOR FLOODING OVER FAR SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI WHERE STORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL MAY TRACK OVER THE SAME AREA. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. PERIODIC CHANCES OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE OUTLOOK AREA SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON...PARTICULARLY OVER THE EASTERN OZARKS NEAR THE HIGHWAY 19 AND 63 CORRIDORS.
