First signing set for Webb City football book

The first signing for the new book by Carthage Press Sports Editor Brennan Stebbins, Big Red Dynasty, is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. two weeks from today, Saturday, June 27, at Always Buying Books, 5357 N. Main, Joplin.

Webb City High School in southwest Missouri won its first state championship in 1989. The Cardinals have won a dozen more titles since, including five straight from 2010-14. Big Red Dynasty traces the program's history back to before the turn of the 20th Century, and tells the story of how Webb City became the best high school football team in the state of Missouri.
