THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED NON THUNDERSTORM WIND RISK.

DISCUSSION...

SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE IN THE DAY WITH SOME 30 MPH GUSTS
OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS POSSIBLE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

A STRONG STORM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION WEDNESDAY.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY. SOME OF THE MORE
INTENSE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WIND GUSTS
IN
EXCESS OF 60 MPH. A LOW RISK FOR TORNADOES EXISTS WITH SOMEWHAT
BETTER CHANCES OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL MISSOURI.

VERY STRONG GENERAL NON THUNDERSTORM SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND WEST OF HIGHWAY 65.
WIDESPREAD GUSTS BETWEEN 35 AND 45 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED...WITH A
FEW GUSTS AROUND 50 MPH POSSIBLE IN THE LATE MORNING AND
AFTERNOON.

THE STRONG WINDS WILL USHER IN A MUCH DRIER AIR MASS IN THE
AFTERNOON WITH A RAPIDLY INCREASING FIRE DANGER...WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR HARD TO CONTROL OUTDOOR FIRES OVER SOUTHEAST KANSAS
AND WESTERN MISSOURI.

GUSTY WINDS AND LOW AFTERNOON HUMIDITY WILL LEAD TO AN ELEVATED
FIRE DANGER IN MANY AREAS THURSDAY...AND TO A LESSER EXTENT ON
FRIDAY AD SATURDAY.
