THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED FOG RISK.

DISCUSSION...

PATCHY FOG WITH VISIBILITIES DOWN TO A MILE OR LESS WILL BE
POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT AND EARLY CHRISTMAS MORNING GENERALLY
ALONG AND NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THERE IS A LIMITED THREAT FOR A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY. THE POTENTIAL
FOR SEVERE STORMS WILL BE HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON WHETHER OR NOT
ENOUGH INSTABILITY CAN DEVELOP SOUTH OF A RETURNING WARM
FRONT. THE LIMITED THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS WILL GENERALLY
BE ALONG AND SOUTH OF AN ANDERSON TO MARSHFIELD TO SALEM
LINE...HOWEVER THIS AREA MAY CHANGE DEPENDING ON HOW FAR
  NORTH THAT FRONT MOVES.

MEANWHILE...SEVERAL PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL ARE
EXPECTED FROM LATE CHRISTMAS NIGHT INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. A
SWATH OF 5 TO 8 INCHES OF RAINFALL APPEARS LIKELY ALONG AND
ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR. THESE
RAINFALL AMOUNTS WOULD RESULT IN A POTENTIALLY SIGNIFICANT
FLOODING EVENT. AREA INTERESTS ARE URGED TO MONITOR THIS
  SITUATION CLOSELY.

BRISK AND GUSTY NORTHERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND
NORTH OF THAT FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS THE OSAGE PLAINS OF
  SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI.
