FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR NEWTON COUNTY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  NEWTON COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 730 PM CST

* AT 133 PM CST...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED FLASH FLOODING
  ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. SIX TO EIGHT INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY
  FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING IS ALREADY OCCURRING.

  THIS IS A FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY FOR ALL OF NEWTON COUNTY.

* CREEKS...STREAMS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY
  SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING.
