NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
902 PM CST SAT DEC 12 2015

...STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING...

.A STRENGTHENING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK NORTHEAST FROM
NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA INTO SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS SUNDAY MORNING.
IN RESPONSE...SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE AND BECOME STRONG
AND GUSTY ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO
30 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS WILL
DIMINISH SUNDAY AFTERNOON AS THE LOW BEGINS TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE
REGION.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO NOON CST SUNDAY.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALL AREAS OF SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI
  GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF A NEOSHO TO NIXA TO MANSFIELD LINE
  AND ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LAMAR TO STOCKTON TO LEBANON LINE FROM
  5 AM UNTIL NOON ON SUNDAY.

* WINDS...SUSTAINED SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH WITH
  GUSTS OF 40 TO 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED.

  ADDITIONALLY...SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS
  UP TO 35 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED FOR THE REST OF TONIGHT AROUND THE
  SPRINGFIELD METROPOLITAN AREA.

* IMPACTS...BRISK AND GUSTY WINDS WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT FOR
  HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. ADDITIONALLY...UNSECURED OBJECTS SUCH AS
  CHRISTMAS AND HOLIDAY DECORATIONS MAY BE BLOWN AROUND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS AROUND 30 MPH OR WIND
GUSTS TO 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING
DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. UNSECURED
OBJECTS MAY ALSO BE BLOWN AROUND. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
