Accused Mercy Hospital shooter bound over for trial

A Webb City woman charged with robbing and shooting a man in the Mercy Hospital parking lot December 23 was bound over for trial today after waiving her preliminary hearing in Newton County Circuit Court.

Kaylea Liska, 20, is charged with first degree assault, armed criminal action, and robbery. She is being held in lieu of $100,000 bond.

According to a Joplin Police Department news release, Steven Harner, Joplin, found Liska in his vehicle in the parking lot and confronted her. "She shot Harner and fled the scene." The police found Liska and arrested her the following morning.
