Greitens: Criminals are stopped by law abiding citizens with guns

Former Navy Seal Eric Greitens, a candidate for the Republican nomination for governor, issued the following statement today concerning President Obama's executive orders on gun issues.

"Once again President Obama doesn't get it. He thinks that taking away your guns will stop criminals. He's wrong. We know that you don't stop criminals by taking away guns from law abiding citizens. The truth is just the opposite. Criminals are stopped by law abiding citizens with guns. We cannot, and I will not, allow our freedoms and constitutional rights to be swept away by this president. The time to fight back is now."

  1. All very scientific evidence and statistics to the contrary.

And once again former Navy Seal Eric Greitens doesn't get it. Obama said NOTHING about taking guns away.
It seems that he might be stuck in the Fox News echo chamber. No matter what is said about responsible gun ownership it seems he hears "WE'RE COMING FOR YOUR GUNS!"

Obama said NOTHING about taking guns away.

Not true, if you have someone else manage your money, Obama said he'd be trying to take away your guns, as the military and VA started doing to soldiers and veterans once he became president.

More generally, if you don't acknowledge Obama twice praising Australia's 1996 and 2003 gun confiscations as a clear sign the "He thinks that taking away your guns will stop criminals" or worse, maybe you should address your ignorance by listening to more of the inconvenient facts Fox News relates to us, instead of the rest of the MSM, which as we learned during the JournoList scandal is an explicitly coordinated echo chamber.

I wouldn't be so quick to call someone ignorant. The story clearly says that he's talking about Obama's executive orders on gun issues.
But thank you for proving my point.
