State auditor coming to Goodman to discuss Fire Protection District audit

Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway will attend a community meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. to discuss the results of a recent audit of the Goodman Area Fire Protection District in McDonald County. The audit was initiated through a petition of area citizens. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria of the Goodman Elementary School, and the meeting is open to the public.

When: Wednesday, Jan. 13 @ 6 p.m.

In Missouri citizens may request a local government audit through a petition process that includes a required number of signatures based on the number of voters in that area. For the Goodman Area Fire Protection District, 222 signatures were required to begin the audit process. The audit was released in December 2015. Information on the audit, including a link to the full report, is online at auditor.mo.gov.
