Winter weather advisory extended until midnight for Joplin area

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CST TONIGHT.
* TIMING.AREAS OF FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE AFTERNOON & EVENING HRS. THIS WILL INCLUDE THE EVENING COMMUTE.
* MAIN IMPACT.ROADS ACROSS THE AREA VARY FROM JUST WET TO STILL COVERED WITH SNOW & ICE FROM EARLIER SNOWFALL. ADDITIONAL FREEZING DRIZZLE COULD CAUSE ADDITIONAL SLICK ROADWAYS.
TEMPS WILL STRUGGLE TO RISE TO FREEZING THIS AFTERNOON & DROP AGAIN AFTER DARK.
* OTHER IMPACTS.EVEN A LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. CHECK ROAD CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU TRAVEL.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION INCLUDING FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS.& USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
