Protesters greet Blunt at Joplin High School announcement

Sen. Roy Blunt announced his re-election bid this morning, but when he arrived at Joplin High School, he was greeted by protesters who claim that Blunt has misled voters about receiving three draft deferments that kept him out of the Vietnam War.

That is a new revelation and the fact that Blunt's net worth went from $350K to over 2.8 million from 2005 to 2008. About the same time he was pushing for more ethanol production and his "farm" was raising corn. This combined with Delay involvement, kids being lobbyists and other questionable actions leads one to wonder why Missourians keep electing him and his brother Bubba Long.

Missourians vote for politicians like Billy Long and Roy Blunt because politicians like these two are clearly smarter than the average Republican voter.

A guy like Blunt who thinks he might be drafted is smart enough to obtain not one but three draft deferments by enrolling in college? Krappa Alpha doesn't tap stupid guys!
What else could he have done? Everyone knows only idiots volunteer!

Yeah but, he is a champion of "family values". That means he has no problem finding his kid a job but does have a bit of a problem when it comes comes to being faithful to a wife of thirty years. The fact he dumped her to marry his girlfriend should have been enough to do him in.
