Guilty plea entered in Joplin Islamic Center, Planned Parenthood arsons

U. S. District Court Judge David P. Rush officially accepted the guilty plea of Jedediah Stout, 32, Joplin, to charges connected with the August 6, 2012, burning of the Joplin Islamic Center and the October 4, 2013, fire at the Joplin Planned Parenthood office.

Sentencing will take place later.

Stout pleaded guilty in April, shortly after waiving the reading of an indictment involving the Islamic Center and Planned Parenthood fires. Previously, though Stout told law enforcement he had burned the Islamic Center to the ground, the only charges had involved Planned Parenthood.

Stout pleaded guily to the following charges:

-Arson
-Explosives used in commission of a felony
-Damage to religious property/obstruction of religious beliefs
-Denial of access to clinic entrance
