NARAL endorses Teresa Hensley for attorney general

(From Teresa Hensley for Attorney General)

NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri has announced the group's endorsement of Teresa Hensley for Attorney General of the State of Missouri.

"NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri's mission is to elect officials who will secure, protect, and strengthen reproductive freedom and choice," said Alison Drieth, Executive Director. "Congratulations on your endorsement."

"Today, I am thrilled to have the endorsement of NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri. As Attorney General, I will continue to fight the Republican extremist attacks on women's legal reproductive rights," said Hensley. "I have devoted my career to seeing that the law is carried out equally and fairly for all Missourians. I am honored to have women and allies from across Missouri endorse my campaign and join me in this fight."

Hensley is the clear Democratic choice to defeat either Republican candidate for Attorney General -- Senator Kurt Schaefer, who has lead a political witch-hunt against Planned Parenthood leaders for months, or Professor Josh Hawley, a self-proclaimed champion of the anti-choice movement.

Hensley has also been endorsed by EMILY's List, the nation's largest resource for women in politics, in her historic bid to be Missouri's Attorney General.

Teresa Hensley is the only candidate - democrat or republican - with twenty-four years in the courtroom, including a decade as Cass County's top prosecutor. She has an unmatched record of success with a perfect twenty-one for twenty-one murder conviction rate, hundreds of successful child abuse and sexual assault prosecutions and a record of cracking down on scams against seniors.

The Attorney General is the "people's attorney" and Teresa Hensley will fight for fairness and equality, and will protect the most vulnerable, including victims of senior abuse, domestic violence, and especially children.
