Heat wave coming to Joplin area next week

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  ISOLATED TO WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE
  THIS EVENING MAINLY ACROSS THE EASTERN OZARKS. ADDITIONAL
  THUNDERSTORMS MAY MOVE INTO THE AREA FROM THE NORTHWEST
  OVERNIGHT THOUGH CONFIDENCE IS LOW AT THIS TIME. SEVERE WEATHER
  IS NOT EXPECTED, AND MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN DRY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

  ISOLATED STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE SATURDAY. A COUPLE OF THE MORE
  INTENSE STORMS COULD PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS. WIDESPREAD
  STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED AND MOST PLACES WILL STAY DRY.

  A HEAT WAVE WILL WILL IMPACT ALL OF EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS
  AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS NEXT WEEK. HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE FROM
  97 TO 108 DEGREES ON AN AFTERNOON BASIS...FROM SUNDAY THROUGH
  THURSDAY OF NEXT WEEK.
