Sentencing delayed for Joplin Islamic Center arsonist

Sentencing for Jedediah Stout, 32, Joplin, who pleaded guilty in April to charges connected to the August 6, 2012, burning of the Joplin Islamic Center and the October 4, 2013 fire at the Joplin Planned Parenthood office, has been delayed, according to a notice filed in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

The sentencing, originally scheduled for September 1, has been pushed back 10:45 a.m. October 18 before Judge Brian C. Wimes in Springfield.

Stout pleaded guilty to the following charges:

-Arson
-Explosives used in commission of a felony
-Damage to religious property/obstruction of religious beliefs
-Denial of access to clinic entrance
