Carthage resident, already deported three times, indicted by grand jury

Federal officials must be hoping the fourth time is the charm with Manuel DeLeon-Rivera.

A grand jury indicted DeLeon-Rivera Tuesday for knowingly and voluntary entering the United States after being denied admission.

The indictment indicates DeLeon-Rivera was deported on September 5, 2002 at Humboldt, Texas, September 2, 2006 at El Paso, Texas, and September 13, 2010, at San Antonio, Texas after committing an unspecified felony.

Jasper County Circuit Court records indicate DeLeon-Rivera pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated charge on July 2, 2002, and was sentenced to 30 days in jail by Judge Joe Schoeberl.

How illegals are handled is a joke. They are deported and in less time that it took to get them deported, they are back. It has been this way for years.
