It should be somewhat easier for Ace Mohr to return to the streets.
Mohr, 23, Carthage, waived his preliminary hearing today in Jasper County Circuit Court on a charge of possession with intent to distribute and his arraignment in Division 3 is scheduled for 9 a.m. November 4.
Judge John Nicholas, who revoked Mohr's bond Thursday, set bond for him once again. Previously, it had been $10,000 cash only. Nicholas set it $10,000 surety.
Mohr was represented at the hearing by attorney Jonathan Pierce, according to online court records.
Mohr's bond was revoked last week after the Joplin Police Department arrested him at Ernie Williamson Music September 3 on a charge of receiving stolen property, namely guitars that had been reported stolen during a burglary at Racine Christian Church in Newton County.
Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Dean Dankelson charged Mohr with possession of a controlled substance after the Jasper County Sheriff's Department arrested him January 29, 2015. Nothing about intent to distribute was added for more than a year and half despite a probable cause statement in which a Jasper County deputy attested that Mohr sold heroin to an undercover informant at his Carthage home in front of a child.
Mohr has been arrested three times for armed robbery, twice by the Carthage Police Department for robberies at the Sonic Drive-In and the Guest House Motel and by the Joplin Police Department for a robbery at 7th and Moffet.
Dankelson dropped the charges against Mohr for the two Carthage robberies and has yet to file charges against him for the Joplin robbery which took place three weeks ago as of tomorrow.
Well I must admit that making his bond more obtainable has happened more quickly than I had previously suggested.
ReplyDeleteSo NOW is it apparent to everyone that our judicial system is broken? Armed robbery (allegedly), burglary (allegedly), stolen property (allegedly), selling drugs (allegedly)...did I miss any of his alleged crimes? What else will be tacked on to this list when he posts his surety bond? When he 'accidentally' kills someone, which dept. is going to take the blame?
Is Ace himself an informant perhaps? In addition to the connections previously outlined?
ReplyDeleteMust be or else related to all the judges.
ReplyDeleteMust be 5:25 or else related to all the judges.
ReplyDeleteWhen your under federal investigation, they can't do much with you... But when the feds get him.... His life's over.
ReplyDeleteThe feds don't run a much better ship.
DeleteDankelsons' office needs investigated. I think an investigation into Judge Nicholas would be in order also. Why and for what good cause would he lower Mohrs bond from $10,000 cash to $10,000 surety? Like the above comment asked, who's going to take responsibility when Mohr finally kills someone while out on bond awaiting trial?
ReplyDeleteOur system is truly broken.
Will probably kill his mother with his actions
Deletewell, I think you've got the idea now. But, ... if you'll take the time to do some more digging you'll find that he's not the worst example by far of this type of thing. kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth......oh, and consequences. there will be consequences for bringing this to light, IMO.
ReplyDelete16AP-CR00552 WAS REDUCED BUT ACCORDING TO CASE-NET 16AO-CR01140 IS STILL 10000 CASH
ReplyDeleteI bet with just a little bit of lawyer wrangling, that other bond would be dropped down also. Speaking from experience, it wouldn't take much for that to happen.
DeleteI wonder how the judge or prosecutor will feel if member of their family gets robbed by this creep. Thanks again for looking out for all of us who have to live in this county overidden by drugs and crime. From the dealers all the way to the judges, we are all just pawns in their money making games. They do not give a damn about citizens. It is clear.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, They don't give a damn. I've seen the guilty set free and the innocent locked up. If there's something in it for them...it doesn't matter what the truth is.
DeleteOh but the poor overburdened court system....
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely not an informant...
