MO GOP on death of Schlafly: America has lost a national treasure

(From the Missouri Republican Party)

John Hancock, Chairman of the Missouri Republican Party, released the following statement on the passing of Phyllis Schlafly:

“America has lost a national treasure and conservative icon. Phyllis Schlafly spent most of her life at the forefront of the grassroots conservative movement, championing family values and strong national security. Until her final days, she remained an aggressive and vocal advocate for her beliefs. Less than two months ago, I had the honor of celebrating her years of service to the Republican Party and the conservative movement on the floor of the Republican National Convention, which Phyllis has attended faithfully since the 1950s. Phyllis’ passion and effectiveness will certainly be missed, but her legacy will endure for generations to come.”

Teachers of Evolution Seek to Destroy "Childhood Joy and Ambition," Says Schlafly"

"Liberals see the political value to teaching evolution in school, as it makes teachers and children think they are no more special than animals. Childhood joy and ambition can turn into depression as children learn to reject that they were created in the image of God."

  2. A woman, trying, working her whole life to keep women down, keep them repressed, keetp them second class citizens and the GOP says we've lost a national treasure.

No wonder they're falling apart as a political party and force in this nation.

    And thank goodness.

Many years ago I received an autographed picture of an eagle for my "dedicated work for God, family and country" from Phyllis Schlafly. I considered it an honor then and I consider it an honor now.

Her conservative values are fine. Her opinion on teaching, especially when she called the techniques and training "stupid" were completely uninformed and out of line.
