The half hour interview, which accompanies this post, touches on the following areas:
-Behavior in the schools. Ridder says it has been "phenomenal, both the adult and the child behavior. Students are "engaged with purpose."
-"We empowered the classroom teacher. We're no longer telling them what to do. They're telling us what they need."
-Finances- "We are fiscally sound."
-Superintendent search- The deadline for applicants is Friday, September 23, and a new superintendent will be in place by the end of the year.
-Communication is still the biggest problem in the district, Ridder said.
-Finances- "We are fiscally sound."
ReplyDeleteOne wonders if the superintendent picked to replace Ridder will be one of those who insisted on looking at the district's books....
Although I guess the biggest question marks are whether SEMA and FEMA will reimburse the district for that "might as well" spending, and whether any money to speak of will be forthcoming from the TIF district. A wise candidate will assume neither, and then see where that leaves the district.
Ridder better get a hold of Randy soon!! He doesn't know we are going off the financial cliff and are at the gates of Hell.
ReplyDelete709...what a joke...Without Randy we would still be wallowing in the mess only a lazy ego driven BOE and Huff could create.Ridder ain't without his negatives...he talks about good game
ReplyDelete9:41. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA .... Did you really type that with a straight face?
ReplyDeleteRidder has apparently NOT been in some of the schools. The behavior is deplorable at Soaring Heights. The have lost so many good teachers because they get absolutely NO support from the principal Teresa Adams. The kids get in trouble, get sent to the office, are given a piece of candy and sent back to class. Subs dont even want to come work there. There is no discipline what so ever. Same for the high school. Its a joke.
