Newsmakers video- Sen. Ron Richard on 2017 legislature
Yesterday I attenddd the inaugural meeting of the Area Vision Committee;and the bottom line was jobs and economic growth .
Now that we have a Republican Govenor to work with Senator Richard, and our other fine SW MO delegation we can finally get Right to Work and Mesningful Tort Reform. Until this is a reality no major company such as Boeing or Remington Rifles is going to even give us a cursory look.
But now we can smile again.
Senator Richard's legacy will be the most pro growth for Joplin and the surrounding area since the Osages we're here!!
The only facility Boeing is likely to locate in the Joplin area will be the chemical waste disposal site.
With the new people in charge in Washington it probably won't be very long before major manufacturers can go back to shipping out their toxic waste in 55 gallon drums again like they used to in the good old days.
Joplin can have a new and improved Valley of the Drums.
