"Derek Gander for Joplin School Board

As I prepare to start campaigning for the Joplin School Board, it pains me to see that the students that want to have and not allowed to have, on their own time, a bible study. Being criticized by The American Humanist Association is absolutely ridiculous. We want to teach our children to lead. This is what creates leaders."

So neither Fort, Banwart or Sloan have filed for re-election?

  4. Thanks for the Info6:59 AM

5:35 - Appears Derek Gander believes paying lawyers to defend lawsuits is a priority for the school district. The taxpayers may disagree with his budgeting logic and consider the separation of church and state issues. Imagine what else the million(s) paid to attorneys in recent years might have been funded ...

I'm not sure exactly what Derek Gander believes, but there is reason to suspect he's in favor of allowing the godbotherers to get after the children in the public schools. A few specific questions will probably either reveal what he thinks about the separation of church and state, or sent him scurrying.

Bible Study does not create Leaders. On the contrary, all it does is create a bunch of mindless followers of bad information. The Bible is the best example we have of historical fiction but that is all it is, historical fiction.

11:57 - I completely agree with you. I raised my 2 children without church or bible study. They are well adjusted independent and rational thinking adults. There is no better quality then "having the ability to think for yourself". With this - you must take responsibility for your actions - and have no one to blame but yourself - when you mess up.
