McCaskill rips into Backpage- "built on selling sex with children"

During a hearing this week of the Senate Subcommittee on Investigations, Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-MO ripped into Backpage for its advertisements, which have been described as thinly veiled sale of child sex. Shortly after the hearing and the attacks by McCaskill and Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, Backpage elected to close the adult section of its website.
