A Joplin woman waived a federal grand jury indictment today and pleaded guilty to tax fraud.
The indictment indicates that Tara F. Garrett, 36, fraudulently claimed a $7,226 refund on her 2014 taxes.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation. Garrett remains free on a personal recognizance bond.
