KOAM, KSN, KIXQ, KZRG, KNEO receive awards from Missouri Broadcasters Association

A KOAM/KFJX series on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder suffered by some of those who experienced the May 22, 2011 Joplin Tornado received first place in the news series category at the annual Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards Banquet Saturday.

KOAM received an honorable mention in the "promotion" category for "Surprise Crew."

KSNF picked up an honorable mention in feature reporting for "Basketball and Prayer."

KZRG earned honorable mention in the Corporate Award for Community Service for "Stand with the Shield.

KIXQ received honorable mentions for promotions for "Haunted Spook Tour" and in Station-Sponsored Community Event for "Christmas for Kids."

KNEO, Neosho, received honorable mention in sports for "Where Are They Now?"
