In the 1990s, one of the things the reporters at the Carthage Press probably tired of hearing me say was "The Carthage Press may not cover the world, but we run circles around the Globe."
Photographer/reporter Ron Graber, later the Press managing editor, even had business cards made featuring that slogan.
I revived the slogan for the Turner Report/Inside Joplin and it seemed even more fitting since these blogs directly cover much more of the same beats that are covered by the Globe and I do my best to bring you plenty of material about Joplin and the surrounding area that will never make the pages of the Globe or will be unrecognizable by the time it reaches its pages.
The slogan was a bit too long for a t-shirt, so I shortened it to "The Turner Report- Running Circles Around the Globe.
The wait for the shirts to arrive is over.
I took the first photo before shaving, then decided that really was not the look a reporter/editor/blogger wants to have, so I took a second shot after a bout with the razor.

ReplyDeletehow much is tax?
ReplyDeleteIt's about a dollar snd a half. I worked it out so the price would add up to $20 with the sales tax for Joplin included.
