Turner Report reaches 11 million visitors

I overlooked another milestone for the Turner Report.

Sometime a few days ago, this blog, which was created in October 2003, reached visitor number 11 million and has already gone almost 100,000 over that number.

Number 10 million was achieved on November 21 meaning the Turner Report has had more than one million visitors in less than three months.

Thanks to those of you who have kept reading this blog and the Inside Joplin blogs for your continued support.

While some may love and may hate
    They all will still anticipate
The words you write upon your blog
And comments made by one or all

    Regardless of what you write
At least you bring the words to light
    Agree or disagree
    Your blog is appreciated
    Especially by me

    Congrats Randy!
Thank you for all your hard work

Congrats Randy! Truly love how you put yourself out there for a story. I know this area sucks and there are a lot of bad people so it definitely takes balls to do what you do.

The only thing I'd recommend is stop suppressing our comments. Let our voices be heard. Is all of it nice? No, but it's freedom of speech. Don't restrict it. Smart people will sort through the truth.

Thanks for doing what you do. Keep up the great work!

  6. For the most part, I do print all comments I receive. The exceptions are those that use foul language, racist speech, libelous comments and certain stupid comments. What I mean by that, for example, is the person who has thought it is humorous to make comments blaming Judd McPherson on anything and everything, no matter what the story is about and whether it has any connection to the post. The same person, or someone who thought the same kind of thing was funny, tried to do the same thing using C. J. Huff's name a few years back. We have also had someone who has written one comment after another about Jerry Holcomb. I let the first few go, which was probably a mistake, but they have continued non-stop since then. People can start their own blogs if they want to carry out vendettas. I also do not plan on permitting commenters to bully, but I have had only one or two comments that have been eliminated for that reason. Otherwise, i enjoy having a healthy exchange of opinions and I have no problem with people disagreeing with what I write. if everyone thought the same way I do, this would be a boring world.

    Hi Randy,

Not sure how you've isolated this to a couple of people. Regardless, I did some digging on Holcomb after reading those comments about him and found that he's hooked his daughter up with a job in the same precinct. I attempted to comment on the matter and you obviously decided it wasn't news worthy. It's your blog and you have every right to dictate what you want on it. But, I find it very interesting and just the tip of the iceberg regarding the corruption in our area. I thought it was pertinent information worth revealing. It's time to clean this county up and it shouldn't just stop with the McPhersons.

@3:50-Thanks for pointing this out. Melissa Holcomb is his daughter. Probably just a coincidence though that they happen to work in the same precinct. I can't possibly see favors being called in here with our sound justice system. I'm being sarcastic as hell by the way.
