Bond was set at $1 million today, $750,000 cash or surety and $250,000 cash only for Jalen Vaden, 22, Carl Junction, who is charged with second degree murder and felony child abuse in connection with the death of three-year-old Jayda Kyle.
As conditions of the bond, Judge David Mouton ordered that Vaden be placed on electronic monitoring at his own expense and be placed on house arrest. He is not to be around children.
Mouton also signed the protective order that will prohibit the defense and prosecution from publicly talking about evidence.
Vaden's attorney, Tracey Martin's motion for a speedy trial was approved and Mouton scheduled it as the second case out on the June 25 docket. If it is not held then, it will be the first case on the July 9 docket.
Five days will be set aside for the trial.
A motions hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. April 16.
Such a tragedy
ReplyDeleteHopefully the McPherson's had plenty of time to come up with all the lies they'll need for court.
ReplyDeleteI bet Judd's been performing mock trials with the family covering every little detail.
Let the circus begin.
Judd McPherson is a fraud!
ReplyDeleteBased on what?
DeleteHang Him High
ReplyDeleteDusty Roads - Don't you want the facts first? Or, are you on Judd's payroll too?
ReplyDeleteI am praying for justice. A child is dead. I don't know who is responsible. Only God and the people who were in the house know the truth.
ReplyDeleteI don't want any innocent person(s) to be held accountable for this crime or it will be even more of a tragedy.
Pray for the judge and attorneys that they get this right.
This young man is facing a very lengthy prison sentence. Just pray for truth & justice to prevail.
4:54 AM - Based on the fact that he's been screwing people in this town for years. Seriously, I can honestly speak from first hand knowledge about this guy. I was on the opposing side of him in the courtroom. He actually fabricated lies about my case. It was nothing but lies to support his argument in the courtroom. Justice? Please! Secondly, I live in Briarbrook and I've seen him and Dankelson together. Didn't Dankelson recently refuse to recuse himself because he doesn't know Judd? Lies! Anyone you speak with who's had encounters with him has nothing good to say about him. Finally, are you really saying you believe he didn't try to manipulate this case? Do you live under a rock? If Jasper County truly investigates this matter they'll easily find evidence supporting such claim. Unfortunately, Judd's been afforded time to clean up his mess while waiting for trial. Plus, he is a lawyer after all and does know exactly what needs cleaning.
ReplyDeleteGive me a break and know that he'll eventually burn you too!
No he is not. You do not know them if you are saying this about them or even him.
ReplyDeleteone lie leads to another
ReplyDelete12:05 AM - Anybody that knows the McPherson's can't contest 5:21am's comments. You might want to reconsider your stance or really get to know them.
ReplyDeleteJudd is guilty of manipulating this case. And his old lady (Carmen) and daughter need prison time as well. Hang em high!
12:05 AM - When you wake up this morning, roll over and tell Judd that he's screwed this time. There is nothing that a Jasper County judge can do for him at this point. It's time to pay the piper.
ReplyDelete@12:05 AM, either this is Judd, close family, or you're on his payroll. Judd's days over Jasper County have come to an end. It's time to clean Jasper County up and this is a good first start.
ReplyDeleteWake up!
