The rising costs of prescription medications is a problem hitting many Missouri families. And what makes my blood boil is that in many cases there's no reasonable explanation for drug companies to create these hardships.
They're just being greedy.
I wanted to make sure you saw my new report that exposes drug companies for their actions, shining a spotlight on the fact that the prices for some of the most popular brand-name drugs are increasing at 10 times the cost of inflation. And while prescriptions for many of these drugs are dropping, drug companies have made billions more in profit.

Throughout my time in Congress, I've seen that powerful change can come of exposing abuses like this. I won't let up until we hold pharmaceutical companies accountable, and I think bringing their actions to light—like I did in this report—will make a difference and spur my colleagues in Congress to act.
It's a serious problem for those with chronic illness of all ages. Thanks, Senator, for considering the effects on your electorate.

ReplyDeleteWhy now when she has been in office forever. ..oh she's running again
ReplyDeleteA bunch of your "party before country" repugnicans are on Obamacare. But they were told it was called the Affordable Care Act so they liked that. Your so called president will probably be toast before November.

I might take her seriously if only she wouldn't cash those checks from those same Pharma companies. BYE BYE Claire!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, 40 GOP reps with the majority leader are exiting their seats in the House. What a statement.
ReplyDeleteLike they aren't ALL taking money from Pharma companies. Good old Blunt has at least three lobbyists working for him so they are doing REAL good.
