Buyout firm expresses interest in making a bid for KSNF owner

Apollo Global Management, a firm with a long history of major acquisitions intends to explore a  buyout of Nexstar Broadcasting, according to Reuters.

Nexstar Broadcasting owns KSNF in Joplin and manages KODE.

Apollo Global Management owns companies in a wide variety of fields, including ChuckECheese, McGraw-Hill, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Jacuzzi, Caesar's Entertainment, CareerBuilder and Rackspace.

Nexstar officials have not indicated whether they would entertain an offer.

Nexstar stations can be found in 40 percent of the United States.
