J. Adjourn
I'm curious as to why the board would entertain this presentation on Proposition A. If the presenters speak in favor of Prop A, will the board then hear a presentation from those who oppose it? If the purpose of the presentation is to inform the board about Prop A, that seems unnecessary. A visit to this site would provide plenty of information:

And there it is. The agenda clearly states that the board will hear a presentation about JOPLIN's Proposition A (the proposal for all of us to pay tax on things we buy online), but the anonymous 4:23 reader read the headline and assumed the board is concerned with the MISSOURI Prop A (which relates to right-to-work). I think most people would vote yes on one and no on the other, depending on their views about freedom, and I hope everyone reads about both so they cast the right vote for the right proposition (based on their beliefs). The confusion could be reduced if the yard signs and the media/blog headlines specified "Joplin" or "Missouri" instead of just "Proposition A" when reporting or advocating.
