Probation violation reported for Ace Mohr

It is not going to put him behind bars, but a probation violation has been filed against Ace Mohr, 24, Carthage, who received a suspended sentence and placed on probation March 5 after pleading guilty to two felonies.

The nature of the violation was not revealed in Jasper County Circuit Court records, only a notation indicating no action would be required.

Mohr's guilty plea was to charges of selling heroin and receiving stolen property. As part of the plea agreement, other felony charges, including possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, were dropped.

Earlier, former Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Dean Dankelson had dropped two armed robbery charges against Mohr and declined to file another one that the Joplin Police Department recommended.
