Sentencing will be held at a later date.
Carroll's crime was detailed in the plea agreement:
Between April 2016, through February 23, 2017, Dominique L. Carroll, Christopher M. Trevino and others conspired and agreed with each other and others to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine.
The facts known and relevant to the drug conspiracy are as follows:
On or about February 22, 2017, Drug Task Force 3 (DTF 3) Officer David Abbott received information that Dominique Carroll was bringing a load of methamphetamine to McDonald County, Missouri.
According to Abbott’s sources, Carroll would be driving a blue GMC Yukon that would be loaded with a quarter pound of methamphetamine. A National Crime Information Center (NCIC) query on Dominique Carroll revealed two outstanding felony warrants for her arrest out of the state of Texas.
Abbott contacted and coordinated for surveillance of the blue GMC Yukon with Ozark Drug Enforcement Task Force and McDonald County Sheriff’s Office. On or about February 23, 2017, at 0158 hours, Abbott located the Yukon traveling northbound on I-49.
During his observation of the blue GMC Yukon, he noticed the vehicle crossed the yellow center line and then drove inside the lines of the westbound lane for approximately 100 yards.
McDonald County deputies, Kyle Hackworth and Sgt. Tim Jeffers traveling behind the Yukon initiated their emergency lights and stopped Carroll’s vehicle.
After the stop, driver Dominique Carroll presented her driver’s license to one of the patrol officers who then returned to his patrol car to run Carroll’s identification information through NCIC. The front seat passenger, Christopher Michael Trevino remained in the vehicle while the patrol officer checked Carroll through the NCIC system.
At some point during the stop, Abbott made it to the road side stop and had the patrol officers remove Carroll and Trevino from the vehicle in order to conduct an officer check for weapons.
While outside of the vehicle, Abbott spoke with Trevino and Carroll. Abbott read Carroll her Miranda Rights and she agreed to speak with Abbott. During this discussion, Carroll admitted she had a meth pipe loaded with about .50 -.60 cents (half gram) of methamphetamine in the vehicle hidden beneath the front passenger seat. Abbott asked permission to search the vehicle and Carroll agreed.
Abbott contacted K-9 Officer Cpl. Jeffers who arrived with K-9 Cresso. The K-9 Cresso alerted to the bottom side of the middle seat. Abbott flipped the front seat and noticed the fabric had been recently removed and placed back.
Abbott pulled back the fabric and located a black plastic bag that was wrapped with Saran wrap. After removing the Saran wrap, Abbott found three Ziploc bags that contained approximately 258 grams of a white crystalline substance that he believed to be methamphetamine. The substance was field-tested and it tested positive for methamphetamine.
Carroll and Trevino were arrested and transported to McDonald County Detention Center. Later on February 23, 2017, Det. Nolan Murray, Travis Spencer, Joel Mace and David Abbott interviewed Carroll about the methamphetamine found in her vehicle. She admitted that the methamphetamine she had was destined for K.L. Carroll stated that she knew her supplier in Texas and that she could get 16 ounces from at least three different people in Texas.
In addition, she stated that since April 2016 she conspired and had delivered 2.5 pounds of methamphetamine to K.L. Carroll said her supplier was a Hispanic named S.D. She indicated a Hispanic male fronted her the methamphetamine she had in her possession. Trevino went with her because the Hispanic male fronted Trevino the drugs and the Hispanic male wanted to make sure the deal went right.
Co-defendant Trevino also spoke with Abbott and DEA SA Doug Johnson after being advised of his Miranda Rights. Trevino confirmed that the drugs that he and Carroll had came from a Hispanic male that they agreed to provide to their Missouri buyer.
Prior to their trip, he picked up the methamphetamine around 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. because he lives on the same street as the Hispanic male. He admitted to obtaining methamphetamine from the Hispanic male 4 or 5 times. All the drugs Trevino received from the Hispanic male were given to Dominique Carroll. On this particular trip, Carroll requested 9 ounces but the Hispanic male could only get 8 ounces.
