Thirty-days-after-the-election reports filed by the candidates show White spent $353.416.73 during the campaign period, while O'Brian spent $141.305.55.
The White campaign was $295,000 in debt at the end of the primary, according to the report, with nearly all of the debt coming from White loaning money to his campaign. O'Brian's campaign reported $56.999 in debt, with the candidate also loaning his money most of that amount. White received $11.841.05 in the first few days of August, with that amount including a maximum $2,600 contribution from Netflix CEO Reed Hastings, Santa Cruz, California.
White reported spending $24,202.36 in the week before the election, while O'Brian made a last minute advertising blitz, spending $66.110.44.
The late advertising did not help the O'Brian campaign as final election results show White defeated O'Brian in every single Jasper County precinct, with the former Chamber leader, who was endorsed by the man he hoped to replace, term-limited Sen. Ron Richard, R-Joplin, losing by far greater margins in Joplin precincts than he did elsewhere in the county.
The final vote total was 9,988 for White and 5,467 for O'Brian.
Must be a lot of graft to offset spending half a million dollars on a $35 thousand dollar a year senate job.

ReplyDeleteYou’ll never make me believe either one of these gentlemen had the least bit interest in graff. Representative White for example spent years DONATING his time to teach civics classes at the local Roman Catholic schools- took not one thin dime; have you ever donated 5 minutes to a worthwhile cause? He had also adopted multiple children and raised them and worked hours on end for this community, all volunteer; have you ever done anything for the community?
And in further fairness Mr. O’Brien has put in countless hours and dedicated above and beyond the call for f duty to bring industry and jobs to the area. And lots and lots of organizational effort to make our community better for all—labor, business, and the public service sector. How many jobs have you, Coward 9:13 brought to SWMO?
I think l know the answer to all of the questions for you—it’s a big 0 , just like you!

Harvey,
ReplyDeleteIt’s graft, not graff, lol. I’ll tell you what’s been printed in this very blog regarding Robbie, he sucked up to Wallace-Bajalli and screwed over the citizens of Joplin by hiring the con men, and then destroyed the emails before the state auditor could access them. You hang out on this blog, but don’t believe Turner, lol. Bill White, after the voters in Missouri resoundingly defeated right to work laws here, decided he knew better and was going to begin efforts to bring it back, at which time the voters will defeat it again. Like you, he is a hardheaded moron, unable to accept the will of the voters. Sorry to follow your lead, and go ad hominem on your third grade mind, but you make it so easy. You have been defeated in every attempt you made at public office, not because you’re a Louisiana reject, but because you are illogical and without a clue. Putting your name on your posts doesn’t make you brave, it advertises your ignorance.
Harvey,
ReplyDeleteRob O’Brian was paid $170k per year for the great work he did recruiting Wallace-Bajalli to fleece the citizens of Joplin for over a million dollars, faked a feasibility study showing Joplin could support a AAA baseball team which turned out to be the Outlaws, he destroyed an email the State Auditor requested regarding Wallace-Bajalli, all reported on this blog which you apparently didn’t read or comprehend. As far as Bill White trying to slam his religion down others throats, calling O’Brian a big spender, and having the audacity to tell voters that he didn’t care that Missouri voters resoundingly defeated “Right to Work” laws that he didn’t respect their votes, he was immediately going to try it again, though most in the legislature now know that it will never pass the will of the voters in Missouri. Even Ron Richard thought Bill White an inferior choice to Rob O’Brian, I guess he thought him the lesser of two evils. Signing your name to your comment doesn’t make you brave, it just advertises to readers that you were conned.

ReplyDeleteAny you not putting your name on your blog guarantees beyond a reasonable doubt that you are a COWARD!!

BTW, since you are fixated on me running for public office; how many have you run for? And won?
Harvey,
ReplyDeleteCouldn’t help but notice you didn’t refute anything in my comment. The reason I don’t put my name on this blog is because the blog is named the Turner Report, I am merely a commenter, trying to educate a fool from Louisiana, which seems impossible. I’m not fixated on your failed public office attempts, just pointing out your failed logic in public speaking and reasoning, which led to those failures. I have no interest in public service to idiots such as yourself. The “Little Man” complex you share with Mike Landis is both pitiful and comical. I will make you a promise, if you think me a coward and want to challenge me to a boxing match, just say so, and I will be happy to oblige to the time, location and will give you all the time you want to draw a crowd. If you want to engage in a battle of wits, well I can’t go there, I would be fighting an unarmed man. BTW, putting your name on your comment is not necessary to post, attaching your ugly mugshot, is vanity which is one of the seven deadly sins.
Concerned voter: Amen.
ReplyDeleteHarvey: Get a better hobby.
Sincerely,
Antimony on purpose
