Seventh District Congressman Billy Long went viral today when he interrupted a protester during the House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing.
Shortly after the woman began shouting, Long began auctioning off her cell phone and when the woman was escorted out of the chamber, Long concluded his "auction" and yielded back his time.
Bahahhaa... this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I have to admit, that's a clever way to handle this crazy woman who had no business disrupting the proceedings. He didn't attack her or call names.
ReplyDeleteHe simply auctioned off her cell phone! Classic!
"Our" fat foolish Representative buffoon who dares not do a town meeting drowned out this young woman who was decrying tech-giant censorship of conservatives. Twitter censors and shadow-bans center-right to right wing commentary as does Google-Youtube and Apple.
ReplyDeleteSo this fat buffoon in effect censored a passionate member of the Republican base. No wonder she looked betrayed -- and disgusted as she was escorted out.
Pity Silly Billy won't lose come November, even if he deserves to do so.
I don't see why so many stupid people in the district reflexively vote Republican when Democrats around here are conservative, or at least willing to represent our interests as well, which is what the SouthWest Missouri Democrats are saying in effect, "Give us a chance."
I won't be voting for this buffoon come November.
Beautiful Congressman Long!!
ReplyDeleteAn incredibly clever way to counter act this awful rudeness !!
Notice, I did make any distinction as to far right, medium right, medium left, left, nor far left, nor anything in between. I guess it’s my Southern upbringing—rudeness is NOT tolerated!
This coordinated offensive of the Democratic Party is only delaying things, and costing the taxpayers.
One last point—-it’s very appropriate, because so many of these Congressmen are for sale- just like cattle.

ReplyDeleteIf only there was a way to do the same thing to your comment.
Whatever political view—interrupting a session of Congress is inappropriate.
It was funny and I laughed. Then I thought about how it reinforced the stereotype of us being backward hillbillies.
ReplyDelete8:49 People who worry about being a hillbilly probably are. I'm proud to be from the hills. I wouldn't trade our hills and hollows for 5th Avenue.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Harvey; Billy is a fat cow
ReplyDeleteShame, Harvey.
