Judge rules accused church van shooter incompetent to stand trial

Judge Gayle Crane ruled Monday that Tom Mourning, 26, Joplin, is incompetent to stand trial on 13 felony counts in connection with an August 13, 2016 incident in which he allegedly shot five people in a church van.

Mourning was charged with five counts of assault, five counts of armed criminal action and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
