Arraignment set for Carthage man charged with making terroristic threat to get out of ticket

An 8:30 a.m. Wednesday arraignment is scheduled in Jasper County Circuit Court for Robert L. Ritter, 43, Carthage, who faces felony counts of making a terroristic threat and making a false bomb threat.

According to a Highway Patrol report, Ritter allegedly made the calls Friday in an effort to get out of a traffic ticket.


Ritter, who is also charged with hindering prosecution, is being held in the Jasper County Jail on a $5,000 cash-only bond.
