Some frank talk about my "obsessions" and the top Turner Report/Inside Joplin posts for the week

I became an avid newspaper reader at an early age and as I kept reading I noticed a pattern developing that irritated me.

I read an article about something that interested me and though I kept waiting, many times there was no follow up.

When I became a newspaperman I was determined not to let that happen with my newspaper or with my stories.

If I wrote about an interesting case, I tried to follow it each step of the way through the judicial process. I wasn't always successful- some stories slipped through the cracks, but I did my best and I continue to do that to this day.

So when I continue writing about someone who has run afoul of the law or a politician or administrator who is having problems, I always get a few comments from people who are not happy about my "obsession" with whichever story I have written a new chapter on.

Sometimes, the same people make the same comments each time I have an update on the latest developments of certain people in the news.

I hate to disappoint those of you who enjoy complaining about my "obsessions," but I don't intend to change the way I do things after four decades.

To keep getting upset about it and making the same comment may make you feel better and I certainly have no problem with publishing the comments, even though making the same comment each time when you know it is not going to make a bit of difference sounds like the real obsession to me.

But I am glad those people are still reading.

Your anonymous critics all seem to know how things should be done.

I am still waiting for these anonymous critics to post links to their own blogs or websites, where they don't make all the mistakes they accuse you of making.

I am beginning to wonder if your anonymous critics do much else other than criticize the work of others.

Negative headlines, complaining against "THE MAN", slanted views, and false narratives sell to the drudge of society. Guess that's why you sold out and do what you do.

As I have said before, I may not always agree with your opinion or your articles, but I keep reading all your blogs. Why? Because you provide information that is not mainstream. You keep us informed about things that others want to keep hidden, and of are of interest to the general public.
Thank you Randy.
Keep doing what you do.

Maybe you are the dredge of society, after all, you are reading Randy's "sold out" comments. Lol!

Lol..."dredge"...to clean up or scoop something out. Its drudge, Einstein. Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Crawl back to your hole.
