Former Sarcoxie teacher pleads not guilty to sex charge involving student

Former Sarcoxie High School English teacher Baylee Turner pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Jasper County Circuit Court to a felony charge of having sex with a student.

Turner, 23, allegedly had sex with the student, who was a high school senior at the time at her home sometime between January 14 and January 21, according to the probable cause statement.

The next hearing in the case is scheduled for 9 a.m. August 12.

She has mental issues. No healthy adult wants to have sex with a child. Lock her up.

What she did was stupid. However the child in this case was a senior in high school, so was at least 17. She is in her early 20s. This is more a crime of stupidity than child molestation.

No one cares about that. What she has done is detestable. She needs locked up.

No one cares about that? Thanks for speaking for the the ENTIRE WORLD. 6:09 was making the point that this isn't on par with the other child molestation cases that involve grown men and young children. The victim in this case is old enough to know what was happening. Is what she did wrong? Of course it is. But let's not pretend that the victim in this case wasn't perfectly aware of what was going on.
