During a Facebook messaging session, a Golden City man asked a 15-year-old girl for sex and sent her a photo of his genitalia, according to a probable cause affidavit filed today in U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.
The affidavit alleges Ellott Nelson, 31, sent sexual messages to the girl between April 11 and April 20, which included asking her to send him nude photos.
The girl sent the photos resulting in child pornography charges against Nelson.
Nelson told investigators that he knew the girl, referred to as "Jane Doe" in the affidavit, was underage and that he met her through his former roommate in April when she and others were playing pool at his home.
Nelson acknowledged to investigators that he had sent the obscene photo to the girl.
Nelson's initial appearance was held this morning at the U. S. District Court in Springfield. The U. S. Attorney's office is asking that Nelson, who is currently awaiting trial on drug charges in Barton County, be held without bond.
His preliminary hearing and detention hearing are scheduled for 2;30 p.m. Monday.
He is continuously in trouble an allways gets away with it hope this time they realize what a menace an danger to society he is an actually hold him accountable for his bad behavior.before he escalates again.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking their both stupid she also needs some kind of charge on her as well but we all know that ain't gona happen so really can't put all the blam on him when she was a part of it as well. They should both go to jail for a while
ReplyDeleteFact is he is supposed to be an adult. She is still expected to be a child. Children do stupid things. Thirty one year old men are supposed to have some common sense
DeleteWell rumor has it once again he will just get more probation.if so anouther epic fail in our court system.so sad an yes she as well should be accountable she new his age.will be watching. An hope my faith in the system is restored.
ReplyDeleteRumor has it... only a bunch of busybody sharecroppers shoveling pie in their gob holes at Cookies would be dumb enough to think a determination of punishment had already been decided upon.
DeleteLOL... that seems like a very on the nose description. So on the nose that I would bet you are right.
DeleteLook for the ones saying the girl should be held accountable i was a 14 year old girl who had older men manipulating me into doing things with them i knew their age but i was still very innocent and didnt know any better because i had the mind of a child this girl is a child he was taking advantage of a child thats all their is to it if the girl was your daughter do you still feel she should do jail time
ReplyDeleteAmen totally agree with you the public allways tries to shift the blame to the innocent .to try an make you forget the true villain
DeleteShe's 15.....it's the law. Everyone knows it. She's a child. Period.
ReplyDeleteI am the parent of the 15 year old and she was staying with my sister and just found out earlier this week about the situation. My sister has a 15 year old daughter as well so I'm wondering about her well being. My daughter will not be allowed under my sister's supervision again. Authorities are also investigating my sister at this point.
ReplyDeleteThere are multiple guys this 15 year old is getting in trouble!! It's not just Elliott. It's a little girl with a messed up life trying to get attention from these older men. Elliott is NOT a bad guy and should not be having to go thru this!!
ReplyDeleteA grown man allowing a 15 year old girl to get him in trouble? He may not be a bad guy, but he for sure is a stupid guy or he would not put himself in a position were it could become trouble.
DeleteNot surprised. That town & Lamar are full of guys just like this. Happens all the time and goes unreported. Parents also let their kids roam freely. Walk down the street and you'll see the girls walking around in tiny shorts and tops. Shameful. There needs to be something for these kids to do around here. Sad places.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the girl was asking for it.
DeleteI 100% agree that yes he's WAY stupid and should have known better. He just made a dumb choice which he's going yo pay for fore the rest of his life. He's not a predictor or any of the such!!
ReplyDeleteYes, he is. If he was putting himself in a position where he could recieve nude pictures of a 15 year old girl, he is a predator. A guy not looking for that kind of contact WOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL TO HAVE HIS PHONE NUMBER. He allowed her access to him. Private access. Access that allowed her to give him pictures. Why else would a 31 year old man give a 15 year old girl his number? My God, stop defending him.
DeleteAnd 9:58 wins the debate.
DeleteThere is no reason for a guy his age to have contact with a girl her age. THe guy isn't stupid, he is a pedophile.
15 y/o girls aren’t the same as they were in the 60’s, 70’s or 80’s. The innocence for many is gone.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, it still doesn’t let the guy off the hook. There is absolutely no excuse for a grown a$$ man to be doing the things he’s accused of. NONE. We need much stricter consequences for this type of CRIME, a true deterrent. I wish people were half as passionate about this as they are about guns and building a wall.
15 year old girls aren't the same? Innocence is gone? Maybe. But if that is true it is because of crap parenting and guys like this who prey on them. If parents took their roles as parents seriously and showed their kids right from wrong and protected them from these situations, stuff like this wouldn't happen as frequently. Parents these days dump their kids off with anyone who will "watch" them so they can go have their grownup time. Parenting is looked at as a burden.

ReplyDeleteEven if I were to agree with everything you said, it doesn’t change the fact his actions are deplorable.
ReplyDeleteShe knew what she was doing
