The leadership of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles formally announces their endorsement of President Donald Trump in his reelection bid for President of the United States. Phyllis Schlafly’s successor Ed Martin and her son John Schlafly issued the following statements:
"Over and over again, President Trump has delivered on the promises he laid out in his 2016 campaign," said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles.
"From tax and regulatory reform to social issues and foreign policy, President Trump has stood up for American jobs, interests, and citizens. He delivers conservative, pro-America policies time and again. His accomplishments in the Oval Office speak for themselves. I am pleased to announce, on the day of his reelection kickoff, that Phyllis Schlafly Eagles is endorsing President Trump in the 2020 presidential race."
John Schlafly added, "My mother, Phyllis Schlafly, recognized early that Donald Trump held authentic, conservative values. She chose to endorse him long before other prominent conservative figures. President Trump credited her boldness for many of his state victories. My mother spent the last months of her life writing and speaking at every opportunity to tell people that Donald Trump would lead our nation in the right direction — that he would put America first in his policies. He has proven to us that she was right! I am confident she would be proud of his record and would endorse him again. I am happy to formally endorse President Donald Trump for 2020 reelection."
