More progress reported in recovery of 10-yaar-old Troy Onstott

Prayer vigils for 10-year-old Troy Onstott, 10, son of T. J. and Jill Onstott, Lamar, who was critically injured in a UTV accident W ednesday, were held Sunday night at the bandstand on the Lamar square and in the Seneca City Park.

Jill Onstott provided an update on her son's progress around midnight Sunday:

TJ asked me to take a break tonight, to just rest instead of write. But there were just too many miracles witnessed today and I was on the front row for most of them.

I couldn’t wait to tell our prayer warriors, who stopped their own lives tonight for a time in prayer to save my boy’s life and to restore his body back to health.

We were right there praying with you Lamar, Seneca, Carthage, Joplin....so thank you. And thank you to everyone else who wasn’t able to attend but who stopped to join in prayer at 7:00. Amazing work!

So here is the update for today:

They removed Troy’s bolt in his head first thing this morning once they were comfortable with his pressure.

This allowed for a MRI. And although the imaging results weren’t exactly “picture perfect” (as we knew they wouldn’t be) we remain hopeful by only focusing on positive images for now. Which resulted in freeing Troy from his neck brace! no bolt, no neck brace, and tomorrow they plan to remove his vent.

So a lot to get rested up for tomorrow. I ask that you pray for TJ and I to have the STRENGTH Troy needs as they wean him from his sedation after vent is removed.

A special thank you to our friends and family who dropped off care packages, or just simply drove all the way here to see us this week.
We love you all!

Its all in Jesus’ name.
Amen
