Golden City says goodbye to Lowell Pugh, former mayor, long time civic leader

The funeral of longtime Golden City businessman, civic leader and former mayor Lowell Pugh was held this morning.

I remember seeing evidence of the good Mr. Pugh did in his community during the year I was editor of the Lockwood Luminary-Golden City Herald and then later covering Golden City as editor of the Lamar Democrat.

In addition to his work for the city and its people, Mr. Pugh was a long time leader in land conservation.
